“Love, Compassion, Respect”

Our Strategic Vision

Dr Triplett’s Church of England Primary School

Strategic Vision and Values

To build strong foundations, enabling all to learn and achieve highly with ambitious goals. To flourish and go out into the world, showing through word and deed that everyone is of great worth, valued and loved by God.

Our vision is rooted in Colossians 3:12-14 where Paul teaches how we are loved and chosen by God, forgiving each other as the Lord forgives us. Because of this, we build secure foundations for a successful community, drawn together in the unity of love, compassion and respect.

Colossians 3: 12-14(New International Version)

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Our vision is that we will:

  • Have a strong reputation as a school which celebrates diversity by consistently encouraging all members of the school community to be the best they can be;
  • Enable our pupils to acquire the basic concepts, values and attitudes which will form a sound basis for the next phase of their education and promote a positive attitude for learning for life;
  • Be recognised locally as making a positive contribution to our community;
  • Be an employer of choice, providing high quality continuous professional development and supported opportunities for progression.

Treating each other with Love, Compassion and Respect, we persevere, show resilience, develop independence, grow in confidence and enjoy learning so that we can be the best that we can be.

  • Perseverance is developed by empowering children not to give up easily.
  • Resilience is shown by teaching ways to achieve when failure occurs.
  • Independence is grown through encouraging children to ask questions and then investigate ways to find the answers.
  • Confidence is achieved by giving children responsibility and opportunities to lead.
  • Enjoyment is fostered with a culture of engaging enquiry both within the classroom and beyond.

Love, Compassion and Respect is who we are; Perseverance,Resilience, Independence, Confidence and Enjoyment (PRICE) is how we learn.

We will continually review our strategic vision to ensure it fits with national and local priorities, and the changing expectations of our stakeholders.  It will provide the foundation for our school improvement planning and the practical demonstration of our ambition for our pupils.
